Concept

Finding comfort after loss is always a challenge.
The woman depicted here is middle class.
Her husband has left her.  Her children are now grown and have moved away.
“Who am I?” She asks herself.
Her identity removed, she wanders aimlessly on.
But each new day brings personal challenges, new remainders of her own significance.
Currently she is unaware that she will find her identity.
The wing represents life’s comfort and protection and hope.
The wing represents new life, light and warmth.
This work symbolises that physical situation and personal status are not imperative.
